WONDERING WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSED TO BE!!

When a large truck with a load of 80 tonne carrying giant transformer from TBEA Vadodara to PGCIL Areekode sub-station Kerala entered into the roads in Kerala, it left the locals wondering about what is that supposed to be. While a number of locals inspected the giant transformer closely, others didn’t miss out on an opportunity to click selfies with this never seen before thing before it resumes its journey towards the destination.

MAJOR TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES

An ever-increasing business activity requires constant flow of two-way communication in terms of understanding business requirements, project targets, business projections & progress, understanding constraints & deriving solutions, etc.

In a multi-cultural & multi-locational business like ours, one major challenge in this is the knowledge of each other’s language. Hence, with the objective to enable more smooth flow of communication & better coordination amongst Indian & Chinese staff, we have started organizing 2 training interventions from December 2017 i.e. English Language Training for Chinese employees & Chinese language training for Indian HODs. There will be 2 classes per week for duration of about 4 months, for both language training. For English Language we have identified Ms. Neena Chaudhary who is a professional English language trainer based at Vadodara & for Chinese Language, Mr. Anshul Gupta from General Management department would be imparting training.

During November & December 2017, we have conducted Campus Recruitment drive, in order to cater to requirement of fresh Engineers for next year. In this campus recruitment drive, we visited 8 different colleges covering more than 850 students from Mechanical, Electrical & Civil backgrounds who participated in our recruitment process. In all the campuses we visited, students have shown lot of enthusiasm in knowing about TBEA Group & have shown keen interest in working with us. We also thank all the HODs & staff who helped & provided support in completing this mammoth exercise successfully.

Below are few glimpses of our HRD activities for the quarter:
